Work Hard, Play Well

Social Butterfly Vickie Norris reports on the happenings around town.

Geyserville Chamber of Commerce's board of directors had their annual potluck dinner at Rand and Suzie Dericco’s this week on Tuesday evening, July 9.

The Geyserville Chamber board is a hard working, volunteer board as there are no full-time paid employees to run the Chamber.

It is run by hard-working volunteers and a small stipend for contract labor. However, it is a very successful Chamber with 200 members, great networking opportunities and a fun group. The group does like to work hard and play well.

Dinner consisted of fabulous appetizers including home-made tomatillo sauce created by Board Member and Secretary Lorna Opatz.

Several salads, fresh corn on the cob, delicious tri-tip grilled by Rand Dericco and several desserts. One dessert in particular got “oohs and ahhs” from the group, the Panna Cotta with fresh fruit…it was a sample as it will be served at the Annual Harvest Celebration Series at Silver Oak on Aug. 8. More information on the event can be found here.

The event included significant others which made it more festive. stopped by to get an earful from several members. There was a tub full and a table full of wine, most of which was drunk. Fun times.
