Tonight: Spoonbar Crab Feed, Strolling Dine-Around

Healdsburg Holiday Season is underway.

 

1. First up on Wednesday: Spoonbar hosts its second annual Crab Feed. 

From the event Facebook page: “Crab season has officially begun! And to celebrate, we're hosting our 2nd annual CRAB FEED," the page says. "The dinner kicks off with one of Scott Beattie's classic margaritas, and only gets better as you indulge in Chef Rudy's delicious menu.”

2. Celebrate Healdsburg for the Holidays with the Strolling Dine Around, featuring four progressive courses at Healdsburg’s finest restaurants. From their press release, “This dining experience is a three-hour, four-course meal on Dec. 7, 8, 14 and 15.”  Limited numbers will be accommodated. 3. Dec. 7, Holiday Pet Portraits at Garrett Ace Hardware. Get your pet’s photo taken  1340 Healdsburg Ave., 4 – 7 p.m.  Portraits $18, with $3 from each to benefit the Healdsburg Animal Shelter.

Also at Garrett Ace Hardware on Wed., Dec. 7 VIP Petcare Services Clinic. 5:00 – 7:00pm From their website, “Get your pet taken care of with their annual shots, heartworm, microchipping and more! The VIP Petcare Vet will be all set up inside our store in the Outdoor Living area along with a staff to answer your questions and get you the things needed for your four legged friend. Then browse our pet department for treats, toys, accessories and food.”

4. The Bodega International Short Film Festival Comes to Healdsburg. Can we say exclusive? Yeah-boy! Just 16-seats per about 2-hour screening at a high def, high tech private screening room in Healdsburg. The secret venue will be released to you after ticket purchase.

5. Hammerfriar Opens a New Show. From their press release, “Hammerfriar Gallery will open ‘GROUP SHOW,’ an exhibition of the latest artwork by Sonoma County and Bay Area artists during Healdsburg's Second Saturday.”

6. Lambert Bridge Winery Rocks—with YOUR help. From their press release, “Lambert Bridge is donating 50% of local resident sales in November and December to the Healthcare Foundation Northern Sonoma County.

7. H-Town Youth Theatre presents A Winnie the Pooh Christmas Tail. 8. T. Barney, Ray Holley and Joey Manfre are all together on Dec. 10. From their press release,

“In the book written by Healdsburg’s own Ray Holley, he tells my story of how I  managed to make, show, and sell my art for 30 years," T Barney writes.

"In words and pictures, Ray covers from my start straight out of college at Rhode Island School of Design to my 30th year as a sculptor living in Alexander Valley,"he sayd. "Me The Sculptor, Ray Holley, The Author & Joey Manfre, The Designer/Illustrator, will all be at the events so come get a personalized copy of the book signed by all of us!!!!!”

10. And remember the Holiday Gift Gallery—shop local for your holiday art gifts at the Healdsburg Center for the Arts. 130 Plaza St., open daily 11:00am – 5:00pm, Artwalk Second Saturdays until 8pm

11.  Wine Library Associates 3rd Annual Holiday Book Signing—with Gerald Asher.  “Asher will sign his books and share his insight and knowledge on wine. We will also copies of the “just published” Vit Lit by the late great Joe Mesics for sale.

12. Still feeling "crabby?" From their press release,"Rotary Crab Feast takes place on Sat., Dec. 10. Crab feast dinner with fresh cracked crab, pasta, wine, and dessert from Costeaux."  First seating: 5 p.m. with silent auction; second seating 7:30 p.m. includes live auction with Brent Ferris.
