UPDATE: 'Big Cat' Fundraiser is Tonight

H2 Fundraiser dinner to aid big cats starts 6 p.m. at Spoonbar.

A fundraising dinner for the conservation group Project Survival will be hosted at the Healdsburg's at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28.

The guest of honor will be Tango the Cheetah, star of an upcoming Superbowl commercial.

Tango will be escorted by Dale Anderson, the founder of Project Survival. Anderson will be give a presentation about his organization's work to preserve cats in the wild.

Project Survival runs Cathaven, a preserve on 100 acres just west of King's Canyon National Park west of Fresno.

In conjunction with the dinner, in Healdsburg is assisting by sponsoring one of its artists, Renae Sanderson, who does photography of cats in the wild.

The three-hour dinner event on Jan. 28 will start at 6 p.m. and will include a three-course dinner and wine.
