Recycled Water Could Irrigate Healdsburg Vineyards and Parks

A look at the week ahead in Healdsburg.

Reclaimed water–the final product of wastewater treatment plants–could soon be used for watering Healdsburg's vineyards and city parks. Its environmental impact was studied in 2005, but the purple pipes never popped up around town.

The Healdsburg City Council on Monday night will consider hiring a consultant to help get an OK from the Regional Water Board to start using recycled water around town. The consultant's asking price is nearly $48,000.

The city council will meet at 6 p.m. at 401 Grove St. The full agenda is here.
