A New Pairing in Healdsburg: Jazz and Wine

The Healdsburg Jazz and Wine Club will host its first release party on Sunday.

This weekend, the organizers of the annual Healdsburg Jazz Festival will launch a new event, combining music and one of Healdsburg's trademarks.

The first-ever Healdsburg Jazz and Wine Club party will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Stark Wine Company, 439 Healdsburg Ave.

The event will feature four wines as a part of the club's sampler, food from Bravas Bar de Tapas, and music from the Mark Levine Quartet.

"Proceeds from the Club help support our nonprofit organization Healdsburg Jazz, including the Festival and all of our music education programs for students," organizers said in an email announcing the event. "The HJ&WC is for jazz fans seeking to expand their knowledge of fine wines, and wine connoisseurs looking to develop their appreciation of great jazz."

Tickets to the event are $25, and more information about the Jazz and Wine Club is available online.
