It's a Full 10K Around Fitch Mountain

It's that time of year again – get up early Sunday morning and jog around Fitch Mountain.

The Fitch Mountain Fun Run makes its annual loop around the landmark this Sunday, June 2 – though technically not a “mountain,” as it’s only 991 feet high, but who’s counting.

Once again the Fitch Mountain Fun Run is sponsored by the Healdsburg Kiwanis Memorial Scholarship Fund in cooperation with Healdsburg Kiwanis Club. Both the 10K and 3K courses begin and end at the Historic Downtown Plaza.

The longer course navigates the neighborhoods north of the Plaza until it heads up Powell Ave. and the steep north side of Fitch Mountain. Then following the Russian River in its arc around the mountain, it heads back to town via S. Fitch Mountain Rd. to Matheson, and the Plaza.

The 3K race just circles through the downtown neighborhoods for its more family-friendly run, jog, trot or stroll.

Both races begin at 8 a.m. On-site race registration and check-in will begin at 7:00 a.m. the morning of the race in the Plaza.  Race day T-shirts are guaranteed only to those who have already pre-registered.

More information can be found on the AllSportCentral site, or on this page of the Healdsburg Kiwanis.
