Michael Pollan, Davia Nelson At Healdsburg SHED on Saturday

"A Conversation with Michael Pollan" is scheduled Saturday -- May 3 -- at the Healdsburg SHED.

Pollan, appearing along with Kitchen Sisters' Davia Nelson, will talk about his most recent book Cooked: A Natural History of Transformation.
A light reception and book signing will follow.

In his book Pollan explores the previously uncharted territory of his own kitchen. He discovers the enduring power of the four classical elements fire, water, air, and earth to transform the stuff of nature into delicious things to eat and drink.

He is the author of six previous books, including Food Rules, In Defense of Food, The Omnivore's Dilemma, and The Botany of Desire, and in 2010, Time Magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Nelson is an award-winning NPR producer of The Kitchen Sisters and author of Hidden Kitchens, Stores, Recipes and More.
