Community First Credit Union, route: {:controller=>"articles", :action=>"show",More :id=>"new-community-first-credit-office-set-for-healdsburg"} --> is located one block north and a half-block west of Healdsburg Plaza (opposite <!-- name: Cyrus restaurant).</p> <p>The new Healdsburg office is one of the credit union's three "smart branches" in Sonoma County, along with those in Sebastopol and Guerneville.</p> <p>"Smart" branches have no cash on site, but they have "smart" ATMs that can accept deposits of loose cash or checks and make withdrawals and transfers.</p> <p>In addition, the "smart" branches can accept applications for home, car or other loans, and can open savings, checking or money market accounts.</p> <p>Community First Credit Union also has two full-service branches in Santa Rosa, one on Stony Point Road and the other at College and Mendocino avenues.</p> <p>Community First Credit Union was originally chartered in 1961 as Sonoma County Schools Credit Union and was only open to school employees. In 1999, it was rechartered as Community First Credit Union and was opened up to the public for membership.</p> <p>As of its branch opening on Sept. 6, 2011, Community First is the only credit union with an office in Healdsburg.</p>
