Johnson Infant Development Center is part of the county's Child Community Care Council, or "4Cs", which operates over a dozen child development centers and preschools in Sonoma County. Like the other centers, WKJ provides care for children age 2 months to 3 years in a play-based environment designed to promote learning.</p> <p>The WKJ Center is an unimposing structure, housed in a temporary school bungalow next to the high school track, with play structures and other facilities outdoors beside the building. The preschool is fenced and secure, and open during the high school's hours. Young parents enrolled in the Healdsburg Union School District have priority for service, and the Center serves as a vocational education class for those students interested in child-development coursework.</p>
