It is now an outstanding wedding and event venue that includes a bar, ballroom, dining room and foyer with an integrated sound system, commercial kitchen, wedding garden with a gazebo and sound system and group picnic areas for barbecues.

Villa Chanticleer is a one-time private resort at the top of Powell Avenue as it turns into North Fitch MountainMore Road, operated by the Parks and Recreation Department. Several buildings are available for public and private groups to rent for weddings, events, meetings and conferences, including the 11,000-square-foot Main Villa with its capacity of 632. The smaller Villa Annex can accommodate 200, and the Villa Meeeting Room has space for 30. Other facilities at this extensive tree-shaded complex include an Outdoor Event Garden with gazebo, green turf, walkways and landscaping. There's also and a group picnic area for up to 300. Large groups need a permit.

The 1.5-acre dog park here is the largest in Sonoma County, with room to run as well as water and shade. It was built seven years ago and is maintained by a citizen's group, the Healdsburg Dog Park Committee. There's also a small children's playground next to the dog park on the lower level beneath the Main Villa. In the same area, a nature trail takes off to the summit of Fitch Mountain at 991 feet (302 meters) with views of northern Sonoma County.

Badger Park

Badger Park is tucked in a development unofficially known as "bird land" because of area street names such as heron,More hummingbird and canary. Children and adults enjoy various park amenities, including a playground, a large open field for athletic games such as soccer and a walking path. A trail runs along the riparian habitat and Badger Creek.
