I'm a local farmer, not born and bred in Healdsburg like our lambs, but a long-time hanger on. I spent a lot of my youth on my family's dairy on Eastside Road, remember the old Garretts Hardware on Matheson, picked prunes and slopped pigs. Susan and I have lived in Dry Creek Valley for nye on to 40 years, we've graduated from wine and grapes to diversified farming; we've become agricultural terroirists.
