Tuesday Concerts in the Healdsburg Plaza Schedule Released

The full calendar is attached, showing it's another great season for Healdsburg's weekly free concert series.

From West Africa to West County, the summer line-up for Tuesday Concerts in the Plaza shows breadth, star power and good taste will prevail as usual at the Healdsburg traditional gatherings.

The line-up was delayed release for at least two weeks because one of the scheduled bands was slow to sign the contract. No word on who that might have been - they run a tight ship over at Parks and Recreation.

The West African All-Stars kick off the summer season with the only May date on the calendar, May 28. They are followed by the Jazz Festival's annual entry, this time the Roger Glenn's Latin Jazz Ensemble.

There are familiar performers, such as Johnny Rawls (July 9) and headline newcomers like the North Mississippi Allstars (August 6).

The styles of music are wide-ranging and sure to please the diverse demographics of Healdsburg. Western Swing hall-of-famer Tommy Thomsen will perform for the flag-waving crowd on July 2, while a Latin hip-hop band Lo Cura will play on August 20.
