Woman Wanted For Identity Theft Rams 2 Cars, Flees Probation Search

The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office is looking for a woman allegedly connected to multiple identity thefts who fled the scene of a probation search last week, a sheriff's sergeant said.

Detectives received a tip that Jasmine Mitchell was staying at an apartment complex across the street from Lytton Casino in San Pablo around 7 p.m. on April 29, Sgt. Michael Raasch said.

Mitchell and another wanted suspect, Roy Kim, were living together in an apartment detectives were able to locate, Raasch said.

The pair had Sonoma County arrest warrants linked to multiple identity theft cases and are being investigated by multiple Bay Area law enforcement agencies in addition to the U.S. Secret Service and U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Investigators uncovered a large-scale identity theft and credit card operation, Raasch said.

Detectives conducted a probation search where they made contact with three additional people, he said.

One of the three people was identified as 46-year-old Harley Logsdon of San Pablo, who was on probation out of Napa County for alleged forgery, according to Raasch. Logsdon was arrested and booked into Contra Costa County Jail for outstanding arrest warrants.

He is being held on no bail due to violation of probation.

As detectives continued their search, they spotted Mitchell as she entered the parking lot in a Mercedes sedan, he said.

Detectives attempted to arrest Mitchell but she fled the scene after ramming into an unmarked police car and a parked car, Raasch said.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white four-door Mercedes sedan with California license plate No. 5YGV637.

Kim was found inside a taxi in Richmond and was arrested by detectives, Raasch said.

Kim, 34, of San Pablo, was booked into Contra Costa County Jail. He was also wanted on state parole for possession of stolen property and in Santa Clara County for suspected commercial burglary, Raasch said.
